Wayne Hollopeter, M.D.

Dr. Hollopeter has over 25 years of experience in family practice in Grangeville.  Following an undergraduate and MD degree at Indiana University, he completed a rotating internship at a county hospital in Indianapolis.  After working on the Indian Health Services in southern Arizona, he established his practice in Grangeville in 1973.  He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and enjoys participating in the training of young medical students from the University of Washington each summer.  He raises cattle,  runs, bikes and skis.  His wife, Alexia, is a junior high school teacher.  They have three children, an older son getting his doctorate in neuroscience at UCSF, a daughter who is in her residency in Family Practice, and a younger son who is getting his master degree in education.

A Spokane native, Mark Imus graduated with a B.S. from the Montana State University Nurse Practitioner Program in Bozeman. He is certified by the Idaho Board of Nursing and has practiced continuously for twenty-nine years in Idaho.  Mark enjoys hunting (both big game and upland birds), snow skiing, Dutch oven cooking, white water rafting, and fishing.


Leanne LeBlanc, M.D.

A Louisiana native, Dr. Leanne LeBlanc relocated to Idaho in 1997 to pursue a variety of outdoor recreational interests.   She helped establish Syringa General Hospital’s Hospice Program and continues to serve as the volunteer Medical Director for the Hospice Program.  Dr. LeBlanc has a holistic approach to medical care, and became board certified in Holistic Medicine in 2005.  A holistic approach considers the whole person including emotional, mental, physical, social, and spiritual aspects, and utilizes some alternative therapies such as acupuncture, and massage. 
Dr. LeBlanc attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, in the heart of Cajun country then went to medical school at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.  Residency training was completed in Lafayette at University Medical Center where Dr. LeBlanc served as chief resident. 
Dr. LeBlanc enjoys reading, hiking, horseback riding, yoga, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.  Dr. LeBlanc is a member of the AMA, IMA, AAFP, and American Board of Holistic Medicine.

Christine Schaller, M.D.

Raised in Colorado, Dr. Schaller received a B.A. from University of Colorado at Denver and her medical degree from University of Colorado Health Sciences Center, earning numerous academic honors. She completed her residency at St. Mary’s Family Practice Residency in Grand Junction, CO. Dr. Schaller is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Her hobbies include horseback riding, hiking, fishing, reading, and traveling.

 



Ty Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith grew up in Pocatello, Idaho. He attended medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Missouri, then completed his residency in Family Practice in Denver. During the 11 years prior to his arrival in Grangeville, Dr. Smith was a family practitioner in Malad, Idaho. He and his wife, Cindy, have 4 adult children and 2 grandchildren, and enjoy raising registered Quarter Horses. Dr. Smith is Board certified by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practitioners and a member of the ACOFP, IMA and AOA.


Paul MacMillan, PA-C

Paul started his career in the field of medicine as an EMT, Aeromedical Technician, and ambulance crew member. He received his masters degree as a Physician Assistant from Rocky Mountain College in Billings, Montana. Paul was born and raised in Northern Nevada, and enjoys being outdoors and working on old trucks. He has been a certified wilderness search dog handler/searcher in Search and Rescue, and has competed in equestrian endurance riding. Paul served in the US Marine Corps.

 

Jessi Smith, PA-C

A native of the Missouri Ozarks, Jessi joined the Syringa medical staff in July 2007. Jessi received her education in the mid-south, earning a Bachelor of Science in Cell and Molecular Biology with a Chemistry minor from Southwest Missouri State University prior to achieving a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies with a focus in Family Medicine at Bethel College. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Idaho Academy of Physician Assistants.
An appreciation of the outdoors summoned Jessi to Idaho. She enjoys backpacking, whitewater kayaking, skiing, and hiking among other outdoor interests in her free time.

 

Lynnda MacMillan, ARNP

Lynnda received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Central Washington where she majored in special education. She received an associate degree in nursing from the University of Hawaii and became a Nurse Practitioner at UCLA Medical Center. She is a certified nurse practitioner in women's health. She and husband, James, have been married for 43 years and have two daughters and four grandchildren. She enjoys botany, paleintology and the arts. For the past seven years, she and her husband have spent time in Micronesia providing gynecological surgeries at no cost.

 

James D. MacMillan III, M.D.

James grew up in Laramie, Wyoming. He received his bacelor's of medicine and surgery from the University of Papau New Guinea and masters of public health from the University of Pittsburgh where he majored in environmental health. He has worked as an OB/GYN in a variety of places including Papau New Guinea, Hawaii and Texas. He is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He enjoys horseback riding, basketball and geneology. He and wife Lynnda have been married for 43 years and have two daughters and four grandchildren.
