The classes are FREE and open to anyone who feels they may benefit from more information and support on this important subject. Topics will include: Understanding Grief, Remembering, Role Changes, Support Systems, Stress and Coping. To benefit the most, you will want to attend all of the classes.

Hospice Volunteer Training Program

Volunteers ARE THE HEART of Hospice.   Syringa General Hospital (SGH) Hospice periodically conducts a 2 day training program for mature and caring individuals who desire to volunteer with the only Hospice in this area.  Hospice is more than a place – it is a philosophy of care for persons at the end of life.  Hospice seeks to enhance the dying person’s quality of life and to provide support for family and other caregivers.  We at SGH Hospice work as a team and focus on the hope that every day will be the best that it can be for the patient and their family.  Volunteers help to make this a reality. For more information call Cindy at (800)772-5137 or (208)983-1700, extension 250.
