25 Points     Hospital Need
15 Points     Sr. Manager Recommendation

Applicant will only be considered when they have provided proof of tuition fees and related costs being requested.

Applicant will only be considered after they have provided their previous term’s grades.

Application will only be considered if it is received prior to the pre-determined deadline. The deadline is determined by the dates of TAP meetings – TAP meets on the 1st Wednesday of every third month (January, April, July, October) – applications are due two weeks prior to the meetings.

Funding will not be considered for classes in which the applicant is currently enrolled, or classes already taken.
If funding has not been pre-approved for a specific period of time and for a specific amount, the applicant must submit an application each time they request money.

Scholarship Payback Guidelines

Scholarships will be granted in exchange for a time commitment from the recipient to work at Syringa General Hospital.

Recipient must apply to Syringa General Hospital for employment within three months of completion of studies.

If hired by SGH, the recipient agrees to work for SGH for one year, in exchange for each $2,000 of scholarship.  Scholarships awarded, which total more than $10,000, will require a maximum 5-year commitment to SGH.

If full-time or regular part-time employment is offered by SGH in their field of specialization at a competitive wage as determined by IHA/CAH surveys, and the recipient decides for any reason to not accept employment at SGH, or if the recipient is unemployable in their field of study, or if the recipient determines they will not seek employment at SGH the money received will be converted to an interest- bearing loan at the Federal Standard Loan Rate at that time.

If SGH cannot employ the recipient within three months of the time of application for employment, the loan will be converted to a no-interest loan, payable over a three-year period.
